Baste or Based: How to keep a turkey juicy and how to rise above the world

What does based even mean?

BASTE: To drizzle the juices from the turkey back onto the bird so it’s nice and moist

BASED: Having a foundation, or a basis, and not basing your decisions on what others think.

The opposite of based is debased. "To reduce in quality or value," "to adulterate."

For example, “Our culture has no morals and is totally debased.”
