About the author

Ezra Taft Benson (1899-1994) served as the United States Secretary of Agriculture under President Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1953 to 1961. Benson was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for nearly 42 years and served as the 13th President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1985 until his death in 1994.

Benson was known for his strong advocacy of modern agricultural policies and free-market principles, as well as his extensive writings on faith, patriotism, and liberty. His influential works include "An Enemy Hath Done This" and "The Constitution: A Heavenly Banner."
